Add Your Google Workspace Account to the Device

  1. On the home screen, tap Start. 
  2. Connect to a mobile network or tap the Wi-Fi network that you want to use.
     Once connected, the device might check for updates.
  3. When prompted, choose an option:
    • Copy your data from another device or the cloud.
    • Set up the device as a new device.
  4. Sign in with your Google Workspace email address and tap Next.
     Your Google Workspace address is the email address that you use at your organization.
  5. Enter your password and tap Next.
  6. To accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tap I agree.
  7. When prompted, tap Accept & continue to set up your device for work.
     Note: If you get a prompt to install a device policy app, go to step 2 (below).
  8. Follow the prompts to set up security features.

Install the Android Device Policy

This app allows your administrator to manage your device and control some settings. For example, your administrator might want you to set a screen lock on your device. 

  1. At the prompt, tap Install.
  2. Tap Install.
  3. Tap Accept & continue.
  4. Tap Next and follow the prompts to set up your work profile. 
  5. If prompted, tap Start and follow the steps to set a screen lock for your device.
  6. Tap Install > Next to install work apps. 
  7. Tap Done.  

If prompted to setup a work profile, select Skip. This device will be listed as a company owned device and does not require a work profile. You will be prompted in settings to finish setting up your work profile, ignore this as Google needs to update their current rules for work profiles and Android 11.
